Description:
The first section is the one taking you from Vesio di Tremosine to Passo Tremalzo, 1800 meters above sea level, with a good 18 km climb. The first stretch is more challenging, then you will start to descend through some picturesque galleries carved out of the rock.
When you reach Passo Nota, about 1200 meters above sea level, there are an extra 7 km to climb to reach Passo Tremalzo - this is the most exciting stretch, gaining altitude thanks to a long series of hairpin bends, reminiscent of the legendary climb to reach Stelvio.
Once you have crossed the historical Tremalzo tunnel, built by Italian soldiers to fight the Austro-Hungarian Empire in 1915, you will reach the beautiful "Cascata del Pisù".
A slight slope will lead you back to the plain of Voiandes di Tremosine. From there, the real climb will start again - a further 6 km, following a dirt path that will make you feel like real champions.
The last stretch of the Tremalzo Bike Race route includes a descent, until you will reach the hamlet of Vesio. You will be following a wide road, with some dirt and some concrete sections.
